            LOVE YOU ALWAYS 
       A POEM BY ABDULGAFAR
In summertime, our love is attractive,
Like roses floating in the breeze.
In wintertime, our love is warm – it
Goes from head to toes.
If skies are blue, our love is happy – like
Couples running towards the sea.
If thunder rolls, our love is calm, a
Refuge from the singing rain.
When spring flowers bloom, our love is
Bold, like pink petals on the orchid.
When autumn leaves fall, our love is
Copper, shining bright like a harvest
Pumpkin.
From New year’s day till Christmas day
Our love will continue to abide.
From season to season, I love you
Always! My one, My only, My darling.

This poem is about pain. Its difficult to understand other people's pain even when they try to tell you about it. We all feel different kinds of pains, it could be as a result of injuries, too much work, old age, and so many other things, but this poem isn't talking about those kind of pains. The poem is talking about pains as a result of betrayal, heartbreak, loneliness, denial of your fundamental human rights and things that deal with emotions, feelings, thoughts and behaviours not injuries. But one things with this pain is that, if you are patient, strong and tough, one day this pain will be useful to you. Without pain and sacrifice, we would have nothing, so you just have to be strong and not let the pain finish you. New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.

It is normal in this life for good things and bad things to happen to everyone. But the actual truth is that, there is good in everything that happens to us, if only we search for it. This is a story of two kids, who were orphans, so they went to live with their grandfather who was an alcoholic. One of the kids following his grandfather’s steps, became a chronic alcohol addiction and the other became a successful businessman. When both were asked “why are you the way you are?” Their answers were the same “because my grandfather was an alcoholic”. The same event, the same childhood, two different outcomes. This is true for almost all situations. One decided to become an alcoholic because he’s grandfather was also an alcoholic.
